Position Summary:
Revolution Space is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in high voltage space electronics. You will take ownership of designs and bring them from concept to production in a fast paced and innovative setting. You will drive trade studies and make informed risk-based decisions as you contribute individually and manage a technical team. Being successful in this role means that you are a strong technical and programmatic leader, can work autonomously, and provide clear direction and communication among a cross functional team.
The position is fulltime, onsite in Boston or remote, and available to be filled immediately.
Responsibilities:
·Lead the team for the development, design, fabrication, and test of spaceflight high voltage power subsystems and avionics
·Provide direction for internal and external teams Implement tailored NASA, MIL, and other standards using EEE-INST-002
·Establish and document requirements, validation, and verification
·Compile and manage technical and programmatic risks
·Drive and support all stages of development, design reviews, test plans, hardware validation and debugging efforts
·Drive cost down on product BOMs to prepare products for mass production
Required Qualifications:
·BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
·10+ years of full-time relevant experience in electrical systems and component hardware design, fabrication, integration, and testing
·Experience with analog and digital circuits design
·Experience with power electronics
·Fluency in circuit schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or equivalent
·Experience with electrical circuit modeling and simulation
·Experience with programming in C/C++/Python and/or MATLAB
·Experience doing hands-on lab work, troubleshooting, writing test scripts
·Experience managing small technical teams
·Familiarity with NASA and DoD standards and proven success in designing electrical hardware for aerospace applications
Preferred Qualifications:
·Master's degree in engineering
·15+ years of full-time work relevant experience in electronic hardware development for a government and commercial customers
·Experience and comfort working with and designing circuitry for high-voltage systems up to 2000V DC
·Experience developing and releasing software and firmware for production
·Experience with spaceflight avionics hardware & software
·Experience with high volume manufacturing
·Experience with NASA GEVS and/or SMC-S-016
·Experience managing engineering teams > 10 people
