About the Job
Position Description Seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Combat Mission Systems business. The Electrical Engineer supports the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military equipment. In this role, the Electrical Engineer: researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components. Utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures. Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services and their ability to deliver required products or services The qualified candidate will work under minimal supervision of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
Skills Required • High level analytical ability to solve complex technical design and development problems • Performs technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results to solve complex engineering/scientific problems, using specialized equipment, and/or by creating computer programs, models, or simulations. • Ability to create and manage interface control documents and design documentation in accordance with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements by analyzing and interpreting requirements/specifications results. • Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice) • High levels of communication skills to prepare and present status report and technical results to project lead internal management and external customers.
Skills Preferred • Hands-on troubleshooting of circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, Test Stand, RS485, J-Tag, CANBus • Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio
Experience Required • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis • Experience developing technical documentation – such as drawings, reports, & technical analysis
Experience Preferred • Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems. • Experience with integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and development of electronic control logic.
Education Required Typically requires 4+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
