Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and supervise the installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial use.
2. Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
3. Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
4. Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
5. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
6. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
7. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure effective coordination of project deliverables.
9. Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering, low voltage systems, and construction.
4. Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, and other relevant software for electrical design.
5. Demonstrated experience in project management and engineering management.
6. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgment calls.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus.
12. Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations.
