HDR is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Business Group in the Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA office. This individual will be responsible for the electrical design of facilities in support of a variety of markets including Data Center, Technology, Corporate/Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and/or Federal. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical engineering designs.

Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:
- Perform, plan, direct, and monitor work of the electrical design on large institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Coordinate electrical team staffing and workload to complete the Project on schedule
- Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devices
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or Technicians
- Perform other duties as needed
