Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications.
- Conduct load and voltage drop calculations.
- Lead short circuit, protective device, and coordination studies.
- Develop One-Line diagrams and Control schematics.
- Coordinate electrical design with utilities, project team, and clients.
- Mentor and train staff-level electrical engineers.
- Prepare technical memoranda and reports.
- Enforce company and client standards on projects.
- Manage electrical portion of medium to large projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Conduct quality management reviews of electrical design.
- Participate in continuing editing and development of electrical master specifications.
- Delegate tasks and follow up on completion and quality.
- Identify and consult on solutions to complex tasks.
- Participate in client contacts and business development efforts.
- Make timely and implementable decisions.
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Travel as required for project needs.
- Conduct site visits during construction and operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in industrial power and control systems design.
- Professional Engineer registration.
- Registered with the NCEES.
- Extensive experience in low voltage power distribution, industrial controls, and lighting systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Proficiency in point-to-point conduit and wire systems design.
- Expertise in lighting calculations, receptacle designs, and conduit routing.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and National Electrical Code.
- Familiarity with fault current calculations and machine theory.
- Experience with hazardous area design and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or ESDA.
- Ability to work effectively in multi-discipline project teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel.
- Experience with Microstation and Autocad.
