Summary/Objective:
To design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of electrical systems which meet and exceed customer specification standards focusing on economy, safety, quality and sustainability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Design and develop all electrical systems and products used in manufacturing of batteries and related parts.
2) Supports efforts to prepare Contract drawings and Contract specifications.
3) Create models and prototypes of products.
4) Research solutions and estimating costs and timescales.
5) Interface with others on design team, mechanical engineering for power and packaging.
6) Liaising with customer and contractors.
7) Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel.
8) Develop test plan for product quality and acceptance.
9) Record, analyze and interpret test data, including modification and retesting products.
10) Qualify final product or system.
11) Prepare product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations.
Experience Required:
10+ years Electrical Engineering
Education Required:
Bachelor's of Science - Electrical Engineering
Skills/Competencies:
Analog design, Charger circuits, Micro Power circuits
Work Environment:
Mainly an office environment, will conduct testing in Engineering Lab, come into contact with electrical and mechanical components
Physical Demands:
Ability to operate office equipment, sit, stand, bend, reach and on occasion lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
