Senior Electrical Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers for a senior role on a contract-to-permanent basis. Our partnering company, located near Birmingham, Alabama, needs candidates with strong backgrounds in power and lighting distribution to oversee medium- to large-scale commercial projects.

Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Expected Pay Range: $40-$63 per hour
Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Job Details:
- Lead electrical engineering of multiple projects simultaneously from concept through construction
- Investigate existing electrical systems to determine scope of work
- Assign design tasks and calculations to engineering/design staff members as needed
- Other design tasks include power distribution at low/medium voltage, lighting controls and calculations, grounding systems, and power study analysis.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend on-site meetings when required

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering (BSEE)
- PE License
- Seven years of experience with a professional services firm working in power and lighting distribution
- Proficiency with Revit software and some knowledge of other design software systems
- Track record of working on mid- to large-size projects
