Senior Electrical Designer - Oxford Solutions, Inc

In this role you will lead a team of designers in developing construction-ready installation packages for facility power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems. This role requires deep knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical construction methods, and materials, as well as expertise in CAD software.

• Lead and coordinate the design team in preparing detailed electrical system designs and construction packages.
• Develop electrical drawings, including power distribution layouts, single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and grounding systems.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Oversee lighting and control system designs, including fixture schedules and control diagrams.
• Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced designers.
• Visit customer sites to gather field data for detailed design.

• 10 to 15 years of experience in electrical system design, electrical maintenance, or electrical engineering.
• Proven leadership experience in design teams for industrial facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC and electrical construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Experience designing electrical systems in the steel and aluminum industry is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel within the United States to customer sites.
