What you would do as Senior Director/VP of Business Applications (Information Systems)
The Senior Director/VP of Business Applications will play a key role in driving the success of Tech Electronics by ensuring the company's business applications are aligned with its goals and objectives and are implemented and maintained effectively. Strong experience in specific business applications, as well as understanding of business terms and processes in sales, operations and finance, will be crucial for the successful candidate to effectively lead the team and deliver on the company's goals. This is a position that can see future growth and increased responsibilities.
The Senior Director/VP of Business Applications will be responsible for leading the implementation and development of business applications for Tech Electronics. This includes managing and overseeing the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software systems that support the company's operations and growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for the selection, implementation, and maintenance of business applications
- Oversee the management of business application vendors and partners
- Make decisions on custom development versus purchasing of systems and modules
- Ensure business applications align with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Collaborate with business teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and identify areas for improvement
- Manage budget and timeline for business application projects
- Stay up-to-date with new capabilities offered by the vendors and identify opportunities for the company to leverage them
- Manage a team of business analysts and developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software systems that meet the needs of the business
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the team members, and ensure they have the necessary skills, resources and support to succeed
- Ensure that the team is focused on the business outcomes and delivering to delight the users
- Collaborate with the team to identify and mitigate risks and ensure successful iterative delivery of capabilities
- Lead business process sessions with the power users and understand workflows and data flow at a high level
- Simplify and prioritize the business needs and provide a roadmap of solution delivery
- Innovate, brainstorm, design and deliver IOT applications to be used by our customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor'smaster's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining business applications such as CRM, field service, customer success management, financials, and materials management in a corporate environment
- Understanding of software development methodologies, particularly data and process flows, user journeys, business reporting and agile delivery
- Understanding of accounting principles and terms at a minimum
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Technical background preferred
- Former implementation experience with Salesforce, Netsuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics would be an asset
The role will report to the CEO allowing for future growth and direct support for technology investments.
This position requires office presence in St. Louis for effective collaboration with key business functions. There is little to no travel required for this position.
