Job DescriptionVisa is seeking a passionate, authentic, dynamic and results-oriented leader to join the Data Strategy and Governance (DSG) team as the Senior Director, Revenue Reporting Platform Lead. DSG is part of the Finance Velocity Office (FVO) tasked to build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams. DSG works tightly with the broader FVO to implement solutions to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda.
The Revenue Reporting Platform Lead will be accountable for directing the transformation of data from various source systems to the revenue reporting tool called GARP (Global Analytical and Reporting Platform). This position ensures that data architecture and models adhere to enterprise standards, facilitating seamless data integration and accessibility. This role is responsible for implementing the organization’s data management strategy and operations. Responsibilities include ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility while driving data governance initiatives. The Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data management solutions that support business objectives and drive data-driven decision-making. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of data management principles are essential for success in this role.
Essential Functions:
- Data Architecture: Ensure data models align with enterprise standards to ensure data integrity and consistency
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance data processes and systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Compliance and Security: Ensure data solutions comply with regulatory requirements and data security standards
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and models
- Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Data Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive data management strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives
- Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality standards, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely data across the organization
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, analytics, and business units, to ensure data management practices support organizational goals
- Reporting: Partner with the Reporting SOE as needed to support the creation of ad-hoc or proof-of-concept reports
- Production Support: Ensure all processes are followed for monthly reporting, and data is available based on established SLA. Analyze potential issues and identify solutions to meet user needs
Key Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing
- Expertise in data integration tools and technologies, with familiarity with financial reporting regulations and standards
- Ability to maintain and improve Data Quality, ensure adherence to Data Governance guidelines, and provide metadata management services
- Competence in designing and implementing data solutions that meet business requirements and facilitate data-driven decision-making
- In-depth understanding of available data and the capability to conduct database management and data queries
- Strong mathematical skills for analyzing data and providing meaningful insights for decision-making purposes
- Advanced skills in data analytics, encompassing descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic analytics, and problem-solving abilities to find beneficial solutions for the organization
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures
- Understanding of data quality standards and practices to ensure accurate and reliable data
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3+ set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
• 12 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or 5 years relevant work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of relevant work experience with Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is advantageous
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, data architecture, or a related role
• Strong leadership and project management skills to manage all GARP deliverables and data management initiatives from inception to production
• Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., SQL, ETL tools, data warehousing solutions)
• Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives, focused on improving the customer experience.
• Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
• Must be self-motivated and can lead and motivate others.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 200,000.00 to 312,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
