About the Job
The Senior Director, People Strategy and Analytics will be responsible for providing business facing insights to the Chief People Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and Employee Success Leadership Team (Employee Success is Human Resources at the company). The Director will provide leadership and be a strategic thought partner to members of the ESLT and enterprise-wide ELT who are passionate about using data to drive ES strategies and decisions at all levels.
This role will build and maintain consultative relationships with various ES and the business functions, segments, and key partners to address strategic high value talent opportunities for the company. The leader will need to deeply understand the business to derive ES/business strategies, challenges and opportunities. The Director should thrive in a data rich environment where they will be responsible for collaborating with other members of the ES People Analytics team to identify useful insights that support the business strategies underpinned by business context. To help achieve this, the leader will have a natural curiosity to identify and analyse trends to facilitate short- and long-term business decisions and improve performance results at the enterprise level.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Significantly contribute to the functional strategy through insight and measurement. Partner closely with ELT leaders and functional partner teams in both critical and run the business work.
- Operate as a leader within the people analytics team offering a cross-portfolio POV, representing Employee Success Business Partners (ESBPs) and business priorities, and helping to set strategic direction of the broader team.
- Develop relationships and thought leadership across Employee Success (ES) and other functional leadership teams.
- Drive delivery across ES and the enterprise through a team of globally-based analytics partners.
- Consult with ES leadership to translate ambiguous problems into questions and hypotheses grounded in the strategy of the business.
- Influence senior leaders with a clear and compelling POV grounded in analytic insight and ES strategy.
- Design and deliver a unified, but nuanced global strategy for analytics products and insights for the ESBP organization and business leaders.
- Provide junior analytics partners with analytic and collaborator support and development opportunities where needed.
- Represent Analytics in cross-functional, high visibility work, influencing and educating where appropriate, and inspiring action where needed.
- Provide leadership to attract, develop, mentor, motivate, and retain talent within a matrixed organization.

- Advanced influencing skills when working with internal partners and external providers to resolve issues/problems.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 12+ years experience in an Analytical, Finance, Research, or Human Resources related field.
- MA/MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Social Sciences (e.g., IO Psychology, Behavioral Economics or Sociology) or related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated expertise partnering/consulting with executive leadership teams.
- Previous people leadership experience required; experience leading people analytics team preferred.
- Tableau experience or ability to become an expert in Tableau’s full product suite.
- Experience with R and familiarity with SQL required; demonstrated ability to run analyses, explain output appropriately to non-experts, and recommend next steps relevant to the business context.
- Software industry experience preferred.
