Impact Staffing International (ISI) is looking for a skilled Senior Director of Infrastructure with 12+ years of professional experience in the Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, or Pharmaceutical industry. This position is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and security. This pivotal role ensures that our client’s technology systems and services align with business goals, deliver optimal performance, and support our client’s complex operations in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on expertise to oversee infrastructure projects, manage risk, and drive innovation. Key responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive infrastructure strategies that align with our client’s business objectives while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime to support mission-critical oil and gas operations. The Senior Director of Infrastructure will have 5-6 direct reports and lead a team of 70 IT professionals (network engineers, service desk, desk top support, Workplace engineers and architects, cloud computer engineers, etc.), fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with operational needs and partner with vendors to manage contracts and service delivery. Additionally, this position will identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with industry regulations and cybersecurity protocols, oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers and network infrastructure within different plant locations and externally, and stay abreast of technological advancements to drive innovation. A key focus will be overseeing systems tailored to the oil and gas industry, while ensuring the integrity and security of systems managing exploration data, production metrics, and pipeline monitoring. This position is a full-time role, going in the office Monday-Friday 8 AM-5PM.
Required Skills and Background:
- 12+ years of experience in the manufacturing, oil and gas, or pharmaceutical fields.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, MIS, computer engineering, or another relevant field.
- Proficiency in managing servers, routers, switches, and data center operations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in designing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Familiarity with real-time monitoring tools, and oil and gas-specific IT solutions.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, threat prevention, and compliance with regulations like NIST or ISO standards.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Capability to develop long-term IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Proficiency in managing large budgets, optimizing costs, and allocating resources effectively.
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Skilled in presenting technical information and project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ability to work closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to address IT needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA in a relevant field.
- Core infrastructure certifications, cybersecurity certifications, or equivalent.
