At Moyes Eye Center, our mission is simple: to be a premier eye care center in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest. Our rapidly growing practice provides exceptional service, from experienced doctors and staff using proven technology. As a referral-based specialty care practice with 125 employees on staff, our focus is on providing care for cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, LASIK, or other eye conditions. With advanced technology and a highly experienced team of 11 doctors, our patients’ vision is our top priority. We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Finance to join our administrative team.
The Senior Director of Finance reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and oversees our staff of 8 finance & billing professionals. In this hands-on role, the Senior Director of Finance prepares annual budgets, monitors budget variances, and prepares various financial reports. This position works closely with the CAO and physician owners to achieve a high degree of financial performance and implement fiscal policies.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for financial management and reporting for all practice locations of Moyes Eye Center and several business units
- Advises the Board on financial strategic direction
- Oversees preparation of monthly and quarterly clinical financial reporting.
- Review monthly KPIs and actual results to forecast in detail.
- Discuss and present any significant or unusual variances with operational leaders.
- Review accounting results and correlate them with the underlying performance of the business.
- Work alongside our operational leadership to identify and model drivers for organic growth, as well as track implementation of actioned initiatives.
- Responsible for revenue cycle and billing performance.
- 5+ years in a Senior Administrative and/or financial position within a private physician practice setting preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- Demonstrated administrative, financial, planning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent financial analytical skills and the ability to review and interpret budgets.
- Supervisory experience including organizing workflow to accomplish established objectives, delegating responsibilities, training and evaluating employee performance.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and billing practices.
- Ability to create and maintain information systems as it related to financial data and organizational needs.
- Skill in negotiating, exchanging ideas, information and opinions with others to formulate policies and procedures and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing procedures.
