Position Summary:
The Senior Director of E-commerce & Digital is responsible for managing all aspects of their E-commerce business for their assigned accounts. Keys to success are possessing and displaying a positive tone with a relentless passion for the business operating with a general manager's mindset. This individual will have a key leadership role, and implement strategies, and goals to ensure the attainment of the E-commerce and company financial goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to implement best practices for all E-commerce customers.
- Develop and communicate digital strategy for the company including other business units (greenworkscommercial.com and greenworkstools.com)
- Partner within a matrix organization including marketing, finance, product, engineering, supply chain, and customer service to ensure the best possible customer experience is achieved.
- Develop E-commerce sales strategies, programs, and plans for existing and potential customers
- Includes but, is not limited to assisting in the development of annual business plans and monitoring goals, conducting monthly reviews, and leading action item efforts.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve all E-commerce financial goals
- Managing category team with a P&L responsibility for annual sales targets and profitability across a wide digital customer base
- Define, identify, and implement customer acquisition strategies
- Must be both analytical and strategic. This individual needs to embrace the challenge of dramatically increasing sales and profitability
- Oversees the day-to-day E-Commerce operations, merchandising execution, and maintenance Helps drive the social web marketing strategy as it relates to customer acquisition.
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of all existing e-commerce operations and current needs based on new technology and market competition. Evaluate market share and competition.
- Ensure the entire online process exceeds expectations from how the brand is perceived to product availability, quality, and order processing timelines.
- Provide ongoing strategic insights and thought leadership based on industry, customer, shopper, and marketplace trends to support category strategy.
- Provide inspiration, guidance, management, and resource planning for the extended teams. Be the leader within the company for E-Commerce initiatives
- Own a promotional plan for an assigned group of products across an e-commerce business unit.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, MBA experience preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of e-commerce retail experience
- Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in e-commerce sales growth.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, to assist in meeting company and team goals
- Motivated self-starter with a high energy level, a passion for e-commerce, and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical tools
- Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines.
