SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Clinical Services - Mental Health is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical operations of mental health services within JFSWNY. This role will be responsible for the strategic growth and expansion of the division, in addition to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care and compliance with regulatory standards while providing strategic direction and operational oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Strategic

• Develop and implement clinical strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Work strategically to build out behavioral health services, both in current programming and expanding outside the traditional model to support broader community needs.
• Responsible for management of grant portfolios and assist in the identification and writing of grants with the designated agency grant writer and/or program partners. Coordinate the implementation of grant awards, contracts and ensure post-award compliance.
• Implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes of all aspects of the division.
• Monitor division activities on a regular basis, conduct division and service delivery evaluations, and report findings to direct supervisor and leadership team. Recommend changes to enhance the division and its programs as appropriate.
• Create and manage effective formal partnerships for the successful implementation of division goals.

Operational

• Ensure effective clinic program services and quality care for all clients.
• Develop and update policies and procedures that guide clinical practice, in line with current best practices and legal standards
• Monitor division activities on a regular basis, conduct division and service delivery evaluations, and report findings to direct supervisor and leadership team. Recommend changes to enhance the division and its programs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with other JFSWNY divisions to increase enrollment in services and address barriers to care.
• Collaborate across JFSWNY programs to ensure integration of services and maximize use of agency resources.
• Collaborate with funders, community partners.

Leadership

• Provide leadership and supervisory guidance to program managers including individual supervision, and team meetings.
• Represent JFSWNY at local, state, and national meetings and conferences.
• Assist JFSWNY Clinic program managers manage expenditures and work cooperatively with the finance team to maintain operating expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Advanced degree in psychology, social work, or related mental health field (e.g., PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMHC, etc.)
• Minimum five years of experience in direct client service provision including mental health support
• Five years of leadership experience, management of staff, and growing programs
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Must have knowledge and skills in program best practices and experience in program development and management
• Experience and knowledge of NYS OMH regulations
• Experience with grant implementation

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proven understanding of trauma-informed care and cultural competence and humility
• Knowledge and understanding of community and health promotion resources for refugees and immigrants
• Strong internet and computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, and web-based data collection systems

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work outside normal business hours, including weekends and evenings as needed to meet agency needs.
• Frequency of travel: Frequent travel is required for meetings, training, and client services; locations may vary across WNY.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle, possess a valid, clean NYS driver's license and be sufficiently self-insured with liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Physical activities and efforts required working in an office environment.
• Visual acuity sufficient to maintain system of files and reports containing computer-generated and handwritten documents.
• Auditory acuity sufficient to communicate with staff, clients, and others by phone and in person.
• Mobility sufficient to conduct regular duties within a normal office environment and community.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive salary of $85,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) of 6+ weeks.
• 401k retirement plan with agency contribution of 4%.
• 13+ observed holidays annually.
• Reduced full-time work week of 35 hours and early close on Fridays.

The above pay range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
