Senior Director of Asset Management (Retail) - RETS Associates

RETS Associates, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Senior Director, Asset Management to lead and oversee the financial performance and business planning of their $3B+ west coast shopping center portfolio. The VP reports to the COO and works across their platform with Executive Leadership, Investments, Leasing, Property Management, and Finance/Accounting. The Senior Director will work from their Orange County office.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement comprehensive business plans for each asset aligning with investment objectives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance asset value, including repositioning, redevelopment, and tenant mix optimization.
• Drive quarterly portfolio review presentation and strategy sessions involving leasing, property management, and construction.
• Monitor the financial performance of each asset relative to expense forecasting, leasing plan, and capital budgets.
• Prepare lease-related financial analysis such as NPV analysis, payback, and health ratio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial asset management, space marketing, lease negotiations and administration, with emphasis on retail property.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, real estate, or related discipline.
• Understands budgeting and allocation of costs and basic principles of RE finance and investment.
• Strong leadership and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation: $175K+ Base DOE + Bonus
