Kytopen is streamlining cell engineering for use in next-generation cell therapies, with the goal of expanding access to powerful new living medicines. We enable transformative therapies with our patent-pending continuous Flowfect® non-viral transfection platform. Flowfect® is a fast, scalable, and gentle process that yields billions of high-quality engineered cells in minutes while maintaining cell health and function. As a Sr. Director of Business Development, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth strategy within the cell therapy space. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's market presence globally. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the life sciences industry, particularly cell therapy, as well as a proven track record of developing and executing business development strategies at a global level.
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Growth Planning:
Co-design and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy aligned with company goals in the cell therapy and other life science sectors.
Identify and assess new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes.
Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align business development strategies that support Kytopen's Flowfect nonviral transfection platform.
Establish long-term agreements with global customers, contract development manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and key stakeholders.
Identify and engage with potential licensing, acquisition, and collaboration opportunities to accelerate business growth objectives.
Market Expansion & Penetration:
Co-design and execute market entry strategies for key regions.
Drive Kytopen's presence at major cell therapy conferences, networking events, and industry trade shows.
Revenue Generation:
Lead business development initiatives aimed at increasing revenue, market share, and customer acquisition.
Set and achieve targets for new business revenue and pipeline growth.
Manage and develop key accounts, ensuring long-term relationships and customer satisfaction.
What we're looking for (about you):
5 to 10 years of experience in scientific sales and/or key account management.
Continuous learning mindset and ability to remain current on Kytopen solutions and industry trends across different transfection applications.
Ability to travel when needed – about 75% of the time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work within a diverse workforce and be part of a positive and motivational work environment.
