Maximus is looking for a Senior Director, Air Force and Space Force - Client Account Manager to support the DOD market. This position will work within the Maximus Federal to oversee operations and growth initiatives and drive revenue within the Air Force and Space Force markets that lead innovation for our clients. As a member of the DoD market, this position will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing delivery, people management, and executing client growth strategies. This individual will initiate new business ideas and concepts to meet their targeted customers' business needs.
As a leader within the Maximus Federal team, this position reports to the Senior Managing Director, DoD market. It is paramount this individual has a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) Technology (IT) programs, market trends, acquisition strategies, and transformation initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan aligned with the organization's overall strategic objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and industry opportunities.
- Perform annual review of sales processes and identify opportunities for sales process improvements.
- Assist with sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
- Provide leadership and consultation to sales organization and executive management regarding implementing sales organization's objectives.
- Work with sales team to ensure accuracy and timely distribution of sales and management reports.
- Review reports for effectiveness and make recommendations and/or revisions to existing reports as needed.
- Work with executive management on the performance measurements required to ensure success for the organization.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
The Senior Director will act as a member of the DoD market, this position will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, overseeing delivery, people management, and executing client growth strategies. The Senior Director will act as a leader within the Maximus Federal team, this position reports to the Senior Managing Director, DoD market. It is paramount this individual has a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) Technology (IT) programs, market trends, acquisition strategies, and transformation initiatives. The Senior Director will interface with multi-divisional, inter-agency teams to include "C" level executives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience required.
- Experience managing a portfolio of IT services contracts across multiple Defense organizations
- Ability to operate as a "triple threat" through successful management of client organizations, people management, and growth initiatives
- Minimum 10 years of management consulting experience
- Minimum 5 years of broad-based, sales and business development experience
- Minimum 5 years people management experience
- Ability to mature service offerings to include strategic planning, communications, knowledge management and process improvement
- In-depth understanding of the Federal Government contracting, contract financial management and reporting, and Department of Defense operational missions (specifically Army and Air Force)
- Demonstrated experience in leading digital modernization strategies through technology integration (Cloud, Analytics, Cybersecurity) while creating differentiated brand recognition
- Proven knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition lifecycle
- Experience interfacing with multi-divisional, inter-agency teams, and "C" level executives (CEO, CIO, CFO, Department Directors, etc.)
- Proven competency in managing DoD services operational contracts while driving continued "best value" solutions
- Ability to identify new markets and new business opportunities
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment and apply critical thinking to address client challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Unquestioned personal integrity and ethical behaviors
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Clearable up to a Secret level security clearance

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
