ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Are you passionate about designing cutting-edge digital hardware solutions? As a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating and troubleshooting peripheral circuitry and digital interfaces for FPGA and microcontroller systems. This position offers a dynamic environment where innovation meets practicality, giving you the opportunity to influence product development from concept to production
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate on system architecture and create detailed design specifications for digital interfaces
- Develop proof-of-concept models through simulations, breadboards, or evaluation boards
- Support schematic capture and board layout for FPGA, microprocessors, and their peripherals
- Conduct post-layout signal integrity simulations for high-speed digital interfaces
- Integrate systems and ensure functionality through acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and analysis
- Develop and optimize test and repair procedures for production environments
- Ensure designs meet cost targets, schedules, and are optimized for high-volume manufacturing
- Support qualification and reliability testing to ensure system performance and longevity
REQUIRED EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong background in system design for FPGA, Microprocessors, and CPLD
- Expertise with digital interfaces such as EMMC, DDR4, SPI, I2C, JTAG, and CAN bus
- In-depth knowledge of digital signaling standards, including TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, LVCMOS, PECL, LVPECL, and LVDS
- Proficiency in programming and scripting with Serial Port Scripts, C/C++, and Python
- Hands-on experience with digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies
- Familiarity with tools like Matlab, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, and Hyperlynx
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Knowledge of DSP and wireless communication theory is a plus
