Senior Diesel Mechanic-Technician - Interstate Companies, Inc

Interstate Power System�s is looking for a Senior Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Rockford, Illinois location. We are currently seeking Senior Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) to join our team who are specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU and more! We are offering highly competitive wages!

Diesel Technician Pay Range: $20.00-$45.00/hour D.O.E.

In-state and out of state Relocation Packages available D.O.E.

Sign on Bonus up to $5,000 D.O.E.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:

• Responsible for repairing, maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
• Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
• Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
• Meet requirements for certifications.

Diesel Mechanic/Technician Requirements:

• Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
• Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
• Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
• Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
• Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions.
