Job Description:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, enhance scalability, and optimize system performance across cloud platforms. Your deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) will ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and other tools.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and CloudFormation.
- Deploy and manage containers using Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools like Helm, ArgoCD, and OpenShift.
- Leverage cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure to manage infrastructure, with experience in AWS Lambda, ECS, Fargate, and Azure DevOps.
- Monitor and log systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, and New Relic.
- Ensure security and compliance using tools like OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, AWS IAM, Vault, and secrets management solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement GitOps practices, version control using Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Drive networking solutions using VPCs, load balancers, auto-scaling, DNS, VPNs, and CDNs like CloudFront.
- Manage databases and caching layers such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science and/or Engineering from a reputable university or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Spinnaker, ArgoCD.
- Expertise in container orchestration and service mesh technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Linkerd.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
- Strong scripting and automation skills: Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Go.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, with experience in AWS services like Lambda, ECS, S3, CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk.
- Familiarity with version control and GitOps principles.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: VPCs, load balancing, VPNs, DNS, CDNs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Service Mesh tools: Istio, Linkerd.
- Knowledge of Serverless architectures and managing serverless functions on cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Compliance and Security best practices, including SSL/TLS, secrets management, and identity management (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID).
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: The annual salary for this position ranges from $105K to $125K depending on experience and qualifications.
