Senior Developer - Optima Global Solutions

Currently, we are hiring for a Nutrition (HEA) Senior Developer

The developer will focus primarily on the development and maintenance of the an electronic version of the USDA HEA, the Direct Certification application, and WINS.

The developer will support Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) staff by actively participating in all facets of the systems development life cycle;working with staff to implement programming modifications necessary to improve system performance and availability, improve data quality, and assist staff with data collection and reporting; assisting staff with the implementation of system enhancements/modifications necessary to meet internal Agency needs and external stakeholder needs, and to ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates;meeting required/defined timelines when providing accurate information for State and Federal reporting, internal data requests, and FOIA requests; and continuing work as related to the Agency's ongoing efforts to simplify and streamline data collection and State and Federal reporting processes.

Requirements:
-A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Management, Management Information Systems, or other related field, such as accounting or mathematics, and a minimum of eight years of professional work experience in computer programming. Candidates must possess necessary skills for minimum on-the-job
-A minimum of eight years of hands-on full-stack developer experience, with knowledge and utilization of the skillsets listed below during any duration of the eight years. Please provide specifics in detailed evidence in the narrative section below:

• ASP.Net Core 3.x
• ASP.Net Framework 4.x
• ASP.Net Web Forms
• Entity Framework (or EFCore)
• JavaScript - Any Major Framework (Vue, React, Angular)
• SQL Server 2008+
• T-SQL
• Visual Basic / C#
• APIs
• Identity Server or other use of OAuth2 principles training.

-A minimum of eight years of experience as a full-stack developer on large-scale IT development experience. At least two of the eight years must be performed at a senior level with consecutive years' experience with the same employer/project. A successful candidate will have shown senior level experience by:

• Gathering and understanding technical requirements.
• Planning, coding, and executing complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge on full-stack development.

-H as at least four years of experience using Agile software development cycles leveraging TFS/Azure DevOps.
