We are looking for a Senior Designer to own and drive the end-to-end user experience of our design system. In this role you will be responsible for the usability, consistency, and accessibility of every customer touchpoint, including our website (a fully-featured product built with our system) and communication materials. This role will also support cross-team collaboration efforts, such as hands-on design work to drive convergence with other Microsoft design system sites and resources. We believe that our work reflects the people and the culture behind them, and foster a synergetic environment where curiosity, critical thinking, diverse perspectives, and personal growth are highly valued. **Responsibilities** + Design and craft an elegant, holistic, and scalable end-to-end Customer Experience (i.e. the IA, usability, and visual design of our web site) + Direct and produce content and communication materials that support our messaging needs and advances our mission + Define the visual direction and "brand" of our system and team + Develop effective partnerships with other design system teams across Microsoft, identify strategic opportunities to both leverage and influence other's work, and drive to meaningful outcomes + Collaborate effectively with Research, PM, and Engineering to create a holistic strategy, scope, and plan related to the customer experience domain + Think strategically to identify areas of opportunity and innovation where we can improve the customer experience **Qualifications** + A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems through elegant solutions + 5+ years of experience of designing digital products + Experience understanding the needs, behaviors and motivations of customers to develop relevant solutions for maximum impact + Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both verbal and written) and ability to present your work to peers and executives + Excellent visual design skills and abilitycreate pixel-perfect designs, prototypes and other design artifacts + Proficiencywith industry standard design toolssuch as Figma, ProtoPie or equivalent applications + Familiarity with agile process, asynchronous communication, and working with distributed teams Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
