Job Location: Wauwatosa, WI (7 miles west of Milwaukee, WI)

Job Description:
Summary:
- As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll collaborate with stakeholders, manage project scope, and produce deliverables supporting business objectives.
- Lead multiple complex projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive innovative design processes.
- Your role includes creating electro-mechanical designs, overseeing prototype development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead on multiple integrated projects using advanced engineering design methods.
- Ensure system integration and continuity of system architecture across multiple projects.
- Drive an innovative design process for quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Create electro-mechanical designs using 3D CAD tools, emphasizing mechanical function, structural analysis, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee development of prototype mockups and working prototypes.
- Contribute to product risk analysis, usability, verification, and certification test efforts.
- Review tooling designs and support manufacturing partners during design transfer.
- Design and review manufacturing test fixtures and procedures.
- Guide team leaders, delegate tasks, and provide coaching as needed.
- Identify and escalate issues/risks facing Product Development Teams.
- Organize and lead project update presentations and design reviews.
- Propose innovative technology enablers and target potential areas for IP protection.
- Participate in ISO and AAMI standards development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering required.
- 10+ years of experience designing products in medical, consumer, automotive, or aerospace industries.
- Experience in creating and leading collaborative teams through complex projects.
- Familiarity with other technical disciplines (EE, Software) preferred.
- Understanding of mass production manufacturing processes.
- Experience in DFM, DFA, DFMEA, or other risk-based design strategies.
- Experience designing for agency certifications (ISO, IEC, AAMI, UL, CE, FDA) required.
- Prior experience interfacing with Certification bodies (Intertek, UL, TUV) preferred.
- Prior experience in project management software and Scrum environments.
- Demonstrated financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in Healthcare product development or similarly Federally regulated field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional 3D CAD skills (Inventor or SolidWorks).
- Experience in computational tools for structural analysis (FEA) and dynamic mechanical performance.
- Analytical Thinking - Capable of understanding and solving technical problems.
