Key Responsibilities:
- Wastewater Treatment Design & Engineering: Lead the design of wastewater treatment plants, sanitary sewer systems, and pump stations, ensuring compliance with EPA standards and local regulations.
- Example: Spearhead the design of a wastewater treatment facility optimizing processes for compliance, efficiency, and sustainability.

- Hydraulic Modeling & Analysis: Develop and calibrate hydraulic models for wastewater systems using tools like EPANET, WaterCAD, and GIS.
- Example: Manage hydraulic modeling for a sanitary sewer system to ensure optimal wastewater flow and stormwater management.

- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work with project managers, environmental engineers, and construction teams to deliver innovative water infrastructure solutions.

Requirements
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design, sewer transport systems, hydraulic modeling, and pump station design.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland required, or ability to obtain licensure within the first year.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPANET, WaterCAD, GIS, and other hydraulic modeling software.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with LEED-certified projects or other environmental certifications.
- Expertise in sanitary sewer overflow control, stormwater management, and hydraulic modeling for complex water infrastructure projects.

Technical Knowledge: Expertise in water and/or wastewater treatment engineering and design fundamentals. Competent understanding of pressure and gravity system hydraulics. Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities with other teams and disciplines. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
