Principal Responsibilities:We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized NORC Program Coordinator to join our Senior Adult Services team. The ideal candidate will have experience in program coordination, a passion for working with seniors, and excellent communication skills. This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing off-campus activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for senior adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES
1. Program Planning and Development:
o Design and develop a diverse range of off-campus programs and activities tailored to the interests and needs of senior adults.
o Conduct needs assessments to identify program opportunities and gaps in services.
2. Coordination and Implementation:
o Coordinate all logistics for off-campus programs.
o Ensure programs are accessible, safe, and enjoyable for all participants.
3. Outreach:
o Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage senior adults in off-campus programs.
4. Participant Support and Engagement:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for program participants, addressing questions, concerns, and special needs.
o Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and participation.
5. Collaboration and Partnership Building:
o Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and service providers to enhance program offerings.
6. Evaluation and Reporting:
o Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting feedback from participants.
o Prepare to report on program activities, attendance, and outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement
SALARY RANGE
$38,000-$40,000
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Recreation, or a related field.
Prefer experience in program coordination or a similar role, preferably working with senior adults.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate senior adults.
Proficiency in using technology and software for program management and communication.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel for off-campus activities.
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with seniors.
