Position Overview RMGS seeks an experienced Senior Defeat Project Manager to create, specify, manage, and guide development of defeat technologies and material solutions. This Senior Manager will work with established users to conceptualize, develop counter proliferation technologies in a maritime environment to delay, deter and defeat current and emerging Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). This Senior Project Manager will perform a variety of tasks and provide consultation and direction on complex R&D projects. This position is considered a top-level contributor/specialist subject matter expert and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is given. **This position is contingent upon contract award** Roles and Responsibilities Applicants shall be a former qualified Navy SEALDelivery Vehicle Operator or have proven exceptional combat swimmer experience while havingexperience in the areas of R&D support and best practices, paired with tactical experience in the maritime environment. Experience in operational development and support is preferred. This Project Manager conducts market research to identify solutions and solution providers in response to operational requirements. Provides recommendations to the program manager to support source selection decisions. Prepares acquisition paperwork to support contract award and execution efforts. Leads and interfaces directly with users and solution providers to develop technologies and solutions. Plans and coordinates validation testing and advanced technology demonstrations for users. Provides development guidance in establishing procedures and methods to integrate support. You will evaluate complex programs and measures to assess the efficacy of integrations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Serving as Senior Project Manager to control development of assigned R&D technology.
* Drive engineering project execution, develop and recommend technical guidance, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.
* Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning internal customers and external partners.
* Interfacing with external agencies supporting systems engineering, architecture, and/or design.
* Developing Requirements Verification Strategies and Plans.
* Travel to customer facilities to assist with technical issues.
* Provide subject matter expertise with system analysis, design, delivery, and validation of solutions.
* Generate technical documents, such as test plans and procedures.
* Provide technical input/feedback to the development team.Security Clearance / Location Requirements: * Must be US Citizen.
* Clearance - this position requires the ability to acquire and maintain a TS-SCI clearance
* Location - this position supports the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and requires travel to Ft. Belvoir, VA and other program support areas. The candidate may live in regions such as Virginia Beach, Richmond, Baltimore, etc. to provide one day travel access to Ft. Belvoir. Required Education and Experience: * 10 years’ additional experience maybe substituted in lieu of Degree
* Project Management support experience for DOD Special Operations is required
* Must have extensive experience in the maritime environment as a combat swimmer
* 5323 SEAL Delivery Vehicle Operator is preferred
* 5326 SEAL with exceptional combat swimmer experience is acceptable
* Experience in the tactical application of underwater explosives and underwater firing devices is preferred
* Experience in US Maritime operations is preferred
* Ability to clearly articulate, verbally and in writing, new concepts and capabilities to the team and customers
* Experience in DOD Project management, Research and Development is preferred
