We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our database systems, aligned with FedRAMP compliance standards. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and optimized database solutions while meeting rigorous government cloud requirements.

You'll Get To::Database Design and Management:
- Design, implement, and maintainhighly available and scalable database solutions across cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, Azure SQL).
- Optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design.
- Ensure seamless integration of databases with application architectures.
CI/CD for Databases:
- Build and maintain database CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and versioning using technologies like Flyway and Liquibase.
- Ensure smooth integration of database changes into overall software delivery processes.
- Automate schema migrations, version control, and deployment validations to support agile development practices.
FedRAMP Compliance:
- Implement and maintain database configurations and security practices that adhere to FedRAMP Moderate and High requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure databases meet all regulatory standards, including encryption, auditing, and monitoring.
- Support security audits and implement necessary controls to address findings.
Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans for all database systems.
- Perform regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Implement and manage observability tools for database health, performance, and security (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, or custom solutions).
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential database bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with application developers, DevOps, and security teams to support database needs and optimize performance.
- Document database architectures, configurations, and processes to ensure transparency and operational continuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role.
- Expertise in relational databases (e.g., MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for databases using tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
- Experience with database migration, replication, and clustering strategies.
- Proficiency in database scripting and automation using SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with cloud databases (GCP,AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of FedRAMP requirements and NIST 800-53 security controls.
- Experience implementing encryption protocols, auditing, and secure data storage practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or similar.
Experience with data warehouses and ETL tools (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Apache Airflow).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for database systems (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).

Salary Range::USD $133,000.00 - USD $167,000.00
