Examples of Duties Senior Database Administrator Role: + Principles and practices of information technology database administration, security policies and procedures, backup procedures and information systems pertaining to City departments. + Database systems analysis and troubleshooting principles and procedures. + SQL database design, analysis and troubleshooting principles and practices; knowledge of SQL administration and security processes and basic programming and scripting. + Research techniques, methods, and procedures. + Practices and principles of data lake/warehouse management. Database Administrator Role: + Directly support the implementation of the City's ERP technology solution and other existing City software by creating and writing reports using a variety of methods including but not limited to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PowerBI, and other tools. + Partner with city stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and make recommendations based on priority, level of effort, sustainability, and best fit for the need. + Work on a team of ERP System Administrators and Database Administrators to provide long-term support and effective reporting solutions to meet the City's evolving data needs. + Prepare data for conversion from various legacy systems/data sources for import into new systems/databases. + Write clear process documentation, instructions, and other written resources to assist end-users, teammates, and otherwise provide sustainable support for all reporting solutions. The City of Tigard is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Senior Database Administrator Qualifications + Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information technology, or a related field AND + Five (5) years of responsible database systems experience, including at least two (2) years of experience in a lead or senior-level role; OR + Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. + Experience in Microsoft SQL and report writing is required. Senior Database Administrator Compensation: The annual range for this exempt position is $94,590.55-$123,677.60 The starting pay assignment, based on an analysis of the successful candidate's related experience and education in accordance with the city's pay equity policy and the Oregon Equal Pay Act, would be no higher than $111,309.84 annually allowing room for future increases to the pay ceiling. Database Administrator Compensation: The hourly range for this eligible over-time position is $41.20-$53.87. The starting pay assignment, based on an analysis of the successful candidate's related experience and education in accordance with the city's pay equity policy and the Oregon Equal Pay Act, would be no higher than $$48.48 hourly allowing room for future increases to the pay ceiling.
