The Talent Source is excited to partner with one of the largest privately held companies in the U.S. to offer a temp-to-perm opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer. This role is a key part of our client’s ambitious S/4 HANA transformation project, designed to revolutionize their OTC processes.

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless data migration from legacy systems to SAP S/4 HANA using the Syniti Data Management Platform. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in data migration, cleansing, and governance while working on a cutting-edge initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data migration and cleansing activities to transition legacy system data to SAP S/4 HANA.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data throughout the migration process.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and leverage tools and processes for SAP Data Management.
• Design and implement data mapping and transformation processes to align with SAP S/4 HANA requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to develop data conversion scripts, cleansing rules, and programs.
• Conduct data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy during migration.
• Apply expertise in SAP Data Migration processes and tools, including BODS, Data Services, LTMC, DMC, and Syniti Data Management Suite (preferred).
• Leverage knowledge of SAP data structures, data migration tools, and industry best practices.
• Implement and uphold master data governance principles.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on migration progress, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Strong experience in SAP Data Migration processes and tools.
• Proficiency with data management platforms, especially Syniti Data Management Suite (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA requirements and best practices.
• Experience in data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation techniques.
• Strong understanding of master data governance principles.

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with SAP tools like BODS, LTMC, DMC, and Data Services.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions for SAP.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
