Responsibilities
We are seeking a Sr. Data Developer to join our team of highly skilled data professionals. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our technology landscape within surgery centers. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Building and supporting data solutions: Focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience.
Leading development projects: Plan, design, develop, test, deploy, and document data solutions.
Team leadership: Direct day-to-day development activities and act as technical lead on projects when necessary.
Operational workflows: Ensure compliance with code reviews, change management, and release management.
Accurate estimates: Provide reliable estimates and deliver on commitments efficiently.
Business support: Offer guidance on data artifacts, solutions, and analysis, and provide production support as needed.
Continuous improvement: Assist in operational, solution, and process improvement initiatives.
Professional growth: Show a passion for learning, growing, and teaching others both technically and professionally.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in data solution development and documentation, with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience using Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS), including recent experience with versions 2019 or higher.
4+ years of experience with parallel data ingestion from a wide variety of vendors and numerous data sources.
4+ years of experience in transforming and integrating large disparate data systems into a canonical model.
4+ years of experience in delivering reporting and analytics using SSRS, Tableau, or Microsoft PowerBI Report Server.
4+ years of experience using TFS, Azure DevOps, or Redgate tools for data solution management and delivery.
2+ years of experience with third-party components in SSIS package development (e.g., CozyRoc SSIS+).
1+ years of experience using service management software for incident, change, and release management (e.g., ServiceNow).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Data or Azure-related technologies and certifications.
Proficiency with Azure technologies such as SQL Databases, DevOps, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Event Hub, Power Automate, or Machine Learning.
Experience with programming languages, including C# and Python.
Familiarity with APIs as a data ingestion source, particularly ServiceNow, UKG, or Kronos.
Understanding of medical systems, medical data constructs, financial accounting practices, and revenue cycle management.
Strong collaboration skills to work with teammates, customers, and partners in designing robust and efficient solutions.
Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
Skilled in working with project managers to accurately evaluate and scope work.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and constructively support and teach others.
