As our Senior Data Architect, you are a seasoned and strategic person who plays a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape to ensure data is a powerful asset for our organization. You are responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our enterprise data architecture so that it aligns with our business objectives and fuels data-driven decision-making. With over 10 years of relevant experience, you are adept at understanding and designing how data flows through our systems and organization and how it should be stored, processed, and managed to make it easily accessible and usable for the business. You bring a deep understanding of data management principles, a vision for the future of data, and a collaborative spirit to drive successful execution. This position reports to our Deputy CTO and works closely with the Chief Risk Officer and business leaders and has the potential to take on managerial responsibility.

You possess the leadership skills to shape and drive continuous improvement of our data architecture by understanding evolving best practices and refining strategies to maintain effectiveness with the onset of new data sources and tools, changing business requirements, and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the development and evolution of our enterprise data architecture, ensuring data quality, usability, scalability, security, performance, and compliance.
· Design and implement data models, utilizing advanced modeling techniques and best practices.
· Identify and integrate data sources from various internal and external systems and rationalize them against the data architecture plan.
· Work closely with the IT BI & Reporting team to implement and administer data warehousing and data lake solutions and selection/adoption of business intelligence and reporting tools. In addition, confer with our Government Security Compliance Officer to ensure designated data is tagged and protected according to CMMC practices.
· Collaborate with the business to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions including data catalogs and user-based reporting tools to create data ownership by the business.
· Champion data governance and establish data quality and usage standards, policies, and protocols, including the implementation of tools where necessary to maintain data integrity, compliance, and security.
· Stay abreast of emerging data technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact and recommending strategic adoption to meet our data architectural goals.
· Determine user training needs and oversee implementation of training content and programs that align with the organization's data architecture and governance plans.
Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience as a Data Architect in a complex data environment. Including cloud-based data solutions.
· Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data architecture.
· Strong expertise in data modeling, including dimensional and relational modeling techniques.
· In-depth knowledge of data management technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT tools, data catalogs/dictionaries/quality tools, and data governance platforms.
· Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.).
· Demonstrable leadership skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
