Title: Senior Data Architect
Location: Houston, TX 77077 - Onsite 4 days per week.
Overview of Role:
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and implement scalable, reliable data architecture solutions supporting operational and analytical needs. This role involves developing data models, integrating diverse data sources, and optimizing storage and pipelines using cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms (preferably with AWS). You'll also establish data standards, ensure compliance, and provide technical leadership to foster innovation and excellence in our data ecosystem.

Role Description:
- Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions, including models, metadata, and integration frameworks.
- Establish and enforce data standards, ensuring quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and optimize data storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes) and data pipelines (Databricks, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS preferred or Azure) for efficient data handling and processing.
- Ensure compliance with governance and security policies through best practices in encryption, masking, and access controls.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in data architecture and large-scale system design.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT workflows and data integration tools (Apache Airflow, Talend).
- Proficiency in big data technologies (Databricks, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and programming (SQL, Python, Java, Scala).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform).
- Familiarity with machine learning model deployment, CI/CD workflows, and RDBMS practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
