Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team to support our government clients.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer responsibilities include conducting full development lifecycle of data that includes requirements from DoD other OMB initiatives and provide support for the whole program. This position also requires building a new data automation practice on the program to address our client’s most pressing needs with Cyber Security Threats and Data. The successful candidate will bring a consultative approach to data to improve the value of the data that’s being collected by our customers. This position is also a leader with vision in the practice of Big Data in solving our clients’ cyber security problems, coupled with Proven experience in developing enterprise data solutions for large clients through innovative ways, effective communication of white papers, and other solutions

Job Responsibilities
- Implement standard security control frameworks/guidelines to ensure consistent application of information security controls
- Recognize and identify potential threats and areas where existing cybersecurity procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed
- Implement and maintain standard methodology security controls on Windows and Linux server platforms
- Analyze and evaluate network, subsystems, components, controls, and security criteria for vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Provide hands-on remediation of security vulnerabilities across a wide range of infrastructure and technologies
- Implement and lead network security components such as next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) systems
- Provide expertise in the technical design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of security infrastructure components
- Ensure appropriate and proactive monitoring and event logging for the DoD IT Infrastructure
- Investigate and apply new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance security capabilities and performance
- Perform security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and forensic log analysis to proactively detect security incidents and threats
- Plan for and perform periodic security audits to validate that the security posture satisfies DoD security requirements
- Provide domain expertise to all DoD stakeholders to ensure information security is appropriately considered and implemented
- Ensure appropriate incident handling procedures and security incident reporting is adhered to
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
- Undertake any other appropriate duties assigned by the Director of ISS or nominee
- Develop and perform technical presentations for customers
- Serve as technical resource at customer briefings
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- U.S. Citizen NATO//SECRET.IASE Level III
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. Or a combined set of years of experience in lieu of a degree, including the following:
- Fifteen years of combined computer/network architecture experience. Or eight years of confirmed experience in Cloud Architecture is acceptable in place of a degree
- Ten years of technical or management experience on DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems
- Five years of technical or management experience supporting industry and Government sector cloud initiatives at an enterprise level.
- One full year of experience within the last three years, defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring IA compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, communicating with Government personnel, and providing progress reports.
- Three full years of experience within the last three years working with commercial CSPs (AWS or Microsoft Azure) in cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region / multi-availability zone (AZ) high availability (HA) (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, and/or if needed for the new CSPs).
- Knowledge of governance and establishing policies and procedures
- Ability to lead at a Platform level
- Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Agile System Development methodologies
- Ability to prioritize and display a high level of adaptability/flexibility while handling job responsibilities
- Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently lead product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, think creatively/about the big picture, and dedicated (do-er)

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $160,000-185,000.00.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
