Temp Senior Medical Customer Service Rep Pay Range: $21 - $26.83
Temp Senior Medical Customer Service Rep Schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
Temp Senior Medical Customer Service Rep Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a Temp Senior Customer Service Rep for a 6 month contract opportunity for the single largest health insurer in Orange County, providing coverage.The Senior Customer Service Rep addresses member inquiries, questions and concerns in all areas including enrollment, claims, benefit interpretation, and referrals/authorizations for medical care. Will verify member eligibility, claim and authorization status for providers.
Temp Senior Medical Customer Service Rep Key Responsibilities:

Functions efficiently and productively in a high-volume call center.

Maintains departmental productivity and quality standards.

Routes escalated calls to the appropriate Member Liaison Specialist, Supervisor or Call Center Manager.

Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.

Processes all member transportation requests within one business day of receipt and coordinating all aspects of the process with the clinic, provider, and member as appropriate or necessary.

Assists members with Member Web Portal registration and technical support.

Interacts face-to-face with members by assisting with front desk coverage.

Serves as a backup for Customer Service Leads, as needed.

Handles and resolves escalated issues.

Competes other projects and duties as assigned.

Speak, understand, read and/or write a second language in addition to English may be required for some assignments.
Temp Medical Customer Service Rep Skills and Experience:
-
High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-6 months of call center experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above is also qualifying.

Bilingual in English and in one of our Health's defined threshold languages (Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese) required.

3- 6 months of Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Medi-Cal/Medicaid and health services experience preferred.
