Senior Cost Accountant Job in Watertown, WI

A national manufacturing company in Watertown, WI is looking for a new Senior Cost Accountant to join the team. This position is open due to an internal promotion and will get to take advantage of an awesome hybrid schedule after training!

Job Duties:

• Partner with Assistant Controller on month/year end close procedures
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
• Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant (cost accounting) experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management on a daily basis
