Senior Cost Accountant from Elgen Staffing

Our client, a nationwide provider of high-quality food products has an immediate opening for a Senior Cost Accountant, to join their winning team in Collingswood.

Our candidate of choice will be part of the accounting team under the supervision of the director of Finance. You will be required to provide KPI’s and ad hoc analysis to management team at two plant locations in addition to maintaining pricing and costing for two locations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible in maintaining and analyzing gross margins per product.
• Performs weekly sales reporting and analysis.
• Monthly/Weekly pricing and sales trend analysis.
• Maintain cost/prices lists.
• Candidate is required to visit the production floor continuously to understand company processes.
• Provides month end close reporting by analyzing different metrics.
• Develop and maintain KPIs.
• Analyzes return on investment projects.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support the business.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of experience required
• Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
• Experience in Manufacturing preferred
• Experience in the Meat/Food Industry preferred
• Travel 20%-25%
• Microsoft Excel expert level (power query, power pivot is a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent computer skills including accounting systems
• Capacity to manage substantial amounts of data
• Demonstrate ability to successfully complete projects demanding high focus to detail
• Works autonomously
• Capacity to work in a fast pace and fast changing environment.
