We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Permanent Senior Corporate Tax Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced technology firm. This role will play a critical part in managing and coordinating our corporate tax activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and preparing tax provisions, income tax returns, and ensuring compliance with ASC 740 standards. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns and ensure timely and accurate filings.
2. Analyze and prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
3. Conduct research on various tax matters; interpret and apply tax laws, regulations, and court decisions to ongoing business operations.
4. Assist in the preparation of tax forecasts and budgets.
5. Collaborate with other departments to understand and address tax implications of company activities.
6. Monitor and ensure compliance with changing tax laws and regulations.
7. Assist with tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities.
8. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
9. Work closely with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with a focus on income tax and tax provisions.
4. Proficient in ASC 740 standards and their application in a corporate setting.
5. Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
6. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex tax information to non-tax professionals.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
