Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
A bit about us:
We are a leading electrical manufacturing company based in Evansville, Indiana! We are looking for a senior engineer to join our team to help develop new software applications for our autonomous manufacturing products.
In this role, you'll be both building new applications, as well as evaluating existing code to ensure efficiency and functionality.
We are looking for someone with 7+ years experience building software automation that's well adapted to building PLCs from scratch (we use Allen Bradley) and working with SCADA and HMI programming.

Responsibilities:
As a Controls Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining control software for our cutting-edge technology products.
2. Building PLCs from scratch and integrating them with HMI/SCADA systems.
3. Working with Allen Bradley PLCs and other similar systems to ensure optimal performance.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement control automation systems.
5. Conducting regular system tests and troubleshooting to identify, analyze, and solve complex operational problems.
6. Applying knowledge of low voltage power systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of our products.
7. Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
8. Ensuring that all software engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Controls Software Engineer position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Software Engineer or in a similar role.
3. Extensive experience with Allen Bradley and PLCs, including building PLCs from scratch.
4. Proficiency in C or C# and experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
5. Solid knowledge of low voltage power systems.
6. Experience in building products in an industrial manufacturing setting.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
