Our client is seeking a

Senior



Controls Engineer

for a direct-hire position available in their Addison, TX office. Comes with an

uncapped bonus.

This role requires demonstrated technical proficiency in implementing automation solutions using

PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/DeltaV platforms

. The engineer will work directly with customers and lead a team in identifying requirements, developing specifications, and implementing/testing/commissioning automation solutions.

This leadership role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and an interest in fostering business partnerships. The Controls Engineer will contribute to securing repeat work with both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities:

Deliver innovative automation solutions and design standards, either independently or as a leader of a team.

Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes, including system architecture, component selection, schematic diagrams, system documentation, and programming controllers (PLC, DCS/DeltaV).

Program process-visualizations (HMI/SCADA) and develop databases for archiving/displaying historical system data.

Design and implement industrial networking systems (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).

Lead project management tasks such as project execution plans, scheduling, budgeting, conflict resolution, team leadership, and ensuring project profitability.

Act as technical lead on projects and mentor lower-level engineers and technicians. May also manage smaller projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in

Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science

, or equivalent experience.

10+ years

of experience in control system implementation with knowledge in:

Emerson DeltaV platform.

PLC hardware/software platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon).

HMI/SCADA platforms (Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk, Aveva System Platform, Inductive Automation Ignition, GE iFIX, Siemens Winn CC, TI Portal).

Experience in industries like

Semiconductors, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Water Treatment, and General Manufacturing

.

Electrical schematics and control panels, including power distribution under 480VAC.

AutoCAD experience is a plus.

Leading teams and mentoring engineers.

Project Management experience with PMP certification is a plus.

Understanding of Batch/Recipes, OEE, MES, and ERP systems.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 25% – mostly local to Dallas.

Physical Demands:

Ability to see, perceive color, hear, speak clearly, handle dexterous tasks, drive, lift, mount/dismount equipment, push, and pull.

Work Environment:

Standard office environment, on-site office environment, and diverse industrial settings, frequent use of personal computers, facsimiles, copy machines, and phones.
