Senior Construction Project Manager - Johnson Service Group

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager who has a willingness to work inside minimum- and maximum-security prisons. This is a direct hire opportunity with an integrated Construction, Design and Technology solutions firm located in White Plains NY.

Pay $155K

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction efforts on multiple projects in design and construction
• Overall responsibility to ensure timely completion of project work
• Provide administrative oversight for all phases of work
• Oversee/Inspect the work of contractors, provide progress reports, contract correspondences, manage the submittals, requisitions and change order process
• Communicate directly with the client and the design team
• Provide technical evaluations, advice, and guidance
• Oversee safety and security
• Manage multi-contractor projects as well as contractor compliance with project documents
• Create and track Field Orders and Change Orders
• Assess impact of change requests or delays on the project schedule and budget
• Monitor contractor’s schedule in Primavera P6 to ensure timely completion of project work
• Ensure compliance with the project specific construction management plan
• Process gate clearance request and criminal background checks for all contractors/vendors
• Detailed critical path schedule development and analysis
• Claim analysis

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing multiple projects
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a role of Senior Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents
• Provide job site leadership in all areas of scheduling, safety, and quality
• Experience coordinating with designers handling any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility
• Full knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application
