Responsibilities:Position Overview:
TRC is currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager.
Job Duties:
- Supervise, observe, and document complex construction projects.
- Supervise staff and project technicians on projects with multiple dedicated staff.
- Direct and supervise construction administration on selected projects, including material ordering, quantity verification, and approval of pay applications. Prepare and create progress meeting agenda and minutes.
- Resolve technical and administrative problems.
- Mentor and develop staff, project, senior project technicians, and Construction Services Managers.
- Routinely recognize, initiate, and advance business development opportunities.
- Independently plan, coordinate, and direct staff, project, and senior project technicians- daily activities on construction projects.
- Perform technician duties if required during emergency situations or as needed to cover project needs.
- Review work performed by staff, project, and senior project technicians.
- Prepare proposals, reports, correspondence, and invoicing for assigned projects.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules.
- Prepare and evaluate pre-invoicing process for billings.
- Attend project related meetings with clients, owners, and/or government agencies.
- Routinely complete project site visits to evaluate project progress and meet with field staff.
- Routinely participate as an active member on committees and in professional organizations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Training, Experience, Education, and/or Skills:
- Strong understanding and experience in construction observation processes related to concrete, soil, asphalt, fire proofing, structural steel, landfill geosynthetic and low-permeability soil liners, gas collection systems, leachate conveyance systems, erosion and sediment controls.
- 4+ years relevant experience in construction quality assurance, construction services, construction project management, or related field/discipline.
- Experience supervising staff and project technicians.
- Hold advanced technical certificates, project management certificates, or related professional registration.
- Hold multiple certifications in ACI, VDOT Soil and Aggregate, VDOT Asphalt, Geosynthetic Certification Institute-Inspectors Certification Program (GCI-ICP) or WACEL.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Geology, Geoscience, Environmental or related field/discipline from an ABET accredited college or university program preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.), Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
