Position Overview
The Sr. Compliance Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business goals and customer needs. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and iteration of compliance technology products, while monitoring performance metrics and industry trends to drive continuous improvements and innovations.
What You’ll Do
Product Delivery and Execution of more complex technology products, such as Actimize. Make timely and informed decisions on product features, changes, and priorities based on data, feedback, and strategic objectives. During development windows, support the business and development team by providing guidance, recommendations, clarifications, and resources needed to deliver high-quality product increments. Communicate delivery progress and results as relevant with stakeholders and vendors, as needed.
Product Requirements Gathering and Definitions – Identify, recommend, define, document, and communicate requirements, as “User Stories”, that can be delivered by technology partners (internal and external). Identify and mitigate risks related to product development. Gather, influence, and incorporate feedback from users, stakeholders, and other sources to continuously improve the product.
Product Release Planning and Backlog Management – Lead, influence, and communicate product roadmap planning to ensure product releases are aligned with strategic priorities in terms of content and timing. Prioritize and maintain the product backlog user stories, ensuring that features and enhancements address compliance needs effectively.
Product Vision and Strategy – Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for compliance technology products, aligning them with regulatory requirements and business objectives. Collaborate with product business users to intimately understand their current and future challenges and needs. With a strong knowledge of available technology products, analyze those needs and identify viable technology product solutions.
Optimize and Align Product Design – Identify and mitigate risks related to product development, regulatory changes, or other factors that may impact the products success. Drive continuous improvement in product development processes, tools, and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure that compliance technology products meet regulatory standards and requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a CRCM/CAMS certification or other related certification preferred
5-7 years of related experience.
Proven track record of managing the development and delivery of compliance-focused technology solutions, including a strong understanding and practical application of the regulatory requirements and translating them into product features.
Drive product innovation and define long-term product direction with initial focus on refining the product offering and internal support strategy.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including technology and compliance, to drive product initiatives from conception to launch while ensuring alignment with compliance standards and business requirements.
Strong background in regulatory, compliance, and financial services technology with hands-on experience navigating financial services compliance regulations such as AML and OFAC.
Demonstrated success in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing product requirements based on industry trends, customer needs, and compliance mandates, balancing business and technical considerations.
Experience with Agile product development methodologies, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time and within scope. (Experience transitioning to Agile is a plus.)
Proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships, including liaising with internal teams, vendor teams, and auditor/regulators to ensure the product meets both regulatory and business requirements.
Highly skilled and experienced with Product Owner tools, such as Development (e.g. JIRA), Database Query (e.g. SQL), and Workflow Design (Visio).
Experience providing stakeholders an understanding of what is being proposed/delivered through scenario-based diagrams.
