Seneca Holdings is seeking a Sr.Compensation Analyst to join our HR team. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of compensation, policies, and procedures to align with the company's goals and mission. The Sr. Compensation Analyst ensures that base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to compensation strategy.
This position will manage salary structure development, job evaluation, incentive plan design, and survey participation as well as direct data collection and the analysis process for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources Operations. This is a remote opportunity.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain standardized compensation programs and guidelines including, but not limited to, the annual increment and promotion process, variable pay plans, Compensation Policy
- Conduct benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness
- Provide education and counsel to HR Business Partners, Managers, and Talent Acquisition regarding compensation issues, evaluating new positions, grade levels, job descriptions, promotions, and transfers
- Develop and sustain total rewards and performance management communication initiatives
- Prepare reporting and analysis as part of total rewards and performance management structured processes and on an ad hoc basis
- Prepare total rewards data/information for Board and management presentations
- Review effectiveness of current compensation processes, evaluates internal and external best practices and drives ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Edit, create, or assist in creating new job descriptions or updating existing job descriptions
- Conduct job analysis for positions to ensure appropriate compensation levels and FLSA classifications are established and maintained
- Partner with Business Development and Pricing teams on job evaluation and classification for Request For Proposals (RFP)
- Conduct market analysis and budget preparation for salary adjustment programs
- Participate in compensation surveys to collect and provide continuous research and analysis of competitive compensation information
- Consult with management and staff on interpretation of compensation policies and procedures
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company; build trust by including others and by keeping the cross-functional teams focused on the success of the entire company.
- Monitor and ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable compensation laws and regulations
- Understand the complexity of business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field required.
- Five years of progressively experience in employee compensation
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Excellent Time Management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management.
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment and compensation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
