Your Role
As a Senior Cloud Sales Specialist, you will work closely with the Founder, CTO, and other sales team members to develop and execute sales strategies that grow our enterprise client base. You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle—from identifying prospects to closing million-dollar enterprise contracts.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is motivated to build a book of business by leveraging industry expertise, networking, and creative strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including leads from conferences and referral networks.
- Relationship Building: Engage authentically with prospects, building trust and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Sales Execution: Own the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, proposals, PoC development (in collaboration with technical teams), and contract negotiation.
- Account Expansion: Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying opportunities to expand services and drive additional revenue.
- Collaboration: Work with technical teams to translate client needs into actionable, scalable AWS solutions.
- Strategic Insights: Provide visibility to leadership by breaking down complex information into clear, actionable updates.
- Market Engagement: Represent Serverless Guru at industry events and conferences to hunt for new opportunities and showcase our expertise.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in AWS-specific sales, with a proven track record in enterprise-level environments.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of AWS services, pricing, and implementation best practices; AWS certifications preferred.
- Proven Success: Experience closing million-dollar enterprise contracts and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Account Management: Strong skills in nurturing and expanding existing client relationships.
- Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently to build and manage a robust book of business.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex technical solutions in a simple, compelling way to stakeholders, including C-level executives.
- Networking: Established network within the AWS ecosystem and industry expertise to drive referral business.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Experience in cloud cost optimization, DevOps practices, or cloud migrations.
- Previous collaboration with AWS Partner Network (APN) organizations.
