Meet Our Team:
The Infrastructure Services Team owns the underlying technologies that supports Pega Cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product. Pega Cloud is a growing $300M+ business with a 35% market growth. As a key member to the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will work with multiple subject matter experts that are responsible for deploying an end-to-end solution. You will be part of the Infrastructure Tribe, working on cloud deployments running on AWS and GCP as well as Kubernetes, Istio, and Observability products. Contributing to a variety of technologies, vendors, architectures, implementation, and support.
What You'll Do at Pega:
Cloud Software Engineering
+ Build highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java or other OO languages
+ Lead Sprint to completion and coordinate code reviews
+ Design, build and operate highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform
+ Lead Sprint to completion and coordinate code reviews
Cloud Service Design
+ Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders to prepare end-to-end designs and architecture of Pega Cloud features
+ Design and understand overall test coverage and ensure that quality gates are passed
Leverage DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines to enable automated operations of our services
Partner with our operations team to plan and execute sophisticated operations along the entire service lifecycle
Suggest improvements in Engineering processes
Who You Are:
+ You are a passionate Cloud Developer with sufficient experience to guide junior colleagues in terms of their work assignments
+ You bring good practices around design patterns with you, which you can leverage to support our Pega Cloud with our "as-a-Service" evolution
+ You understand DevOps culture and you consider yourself to be a technically versatile person
What You've Accomplished:
+ Skilled in designing microservices-based architecture leveraging Cloud-native design patterns and serverless frameworks, with emphasis on scalability and HA
+ Strong experience with Golang, Java, or other OO language development, ideally with microservices focus
+ Good understanding and experience in Cloud technologies ( AWS) , multi-cloud perspective is a plus .
+ Good knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code (Helm/Terraform)
+ Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes (having CKAD certification is a plus)
+ Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science and 5+ years of relevant experience
