Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Health Center Senior Co-Manager I in Westminster, CA
The Health Center Senior Co-Manager I, in partnership with and support of the Associate Director of Operations, assumes overall responsibility for the center’s operations. As the Senior Co-Manager I, I will be primarily responsible for monitoring patient flow and satisfaction and addressing patient concerns as they arise. Coordinate with the health center staff to ensure an outstanding patient experience and efficiency in clinical service delivery to all patients. Will oversee and monitor quality standards and compliance, ensuring Medi-Cal, FPACT, PPFA, CLIA, and OSHA standards are adhered to. The Senior Co-Manager I will also direct the delivery of the full range of reproductive health care services, primary care services, and abortion services offered at PPOSBC.

Minimum Education:
- BA/BS degree preferred or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a health, medical, or social service setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Reproductive, managed/primary health care and/or abortion services experience may be required.
Supervisory Experience:
- Demonstrated ability as an effective leader, including coaching and team-building skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting experience preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.

- Must thrive in a fast-paced, rigorous environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Must demonstrate high-level computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
- Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPOSBC locations and by all PPOSBC employees, and supporting these critical services is an essential job duty and fundamental responsibility of all employees.

Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties, and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.
- Act as a “Flow Facilitator” and continually monitor schedules to improve patient wait times and customer service.
- Oversee the staffing levels, patient access, and clinic volume goals to ensure the health center is meeting budgetary goals.
- Hold staff accountable to specific, measurable patient engagement/experience benchmarks (e.g., through annual performance monitoring and implementing corrective action plans when patient experience expectations are not being met).
- Will work as a collaborative team with other health center managers and senior leaders to ensure appropriate health center coverage.
- Communicate any changes, new processes, and weekly updates information in a daily morning huddle. Notes are to be completed daily and sent out to all health center staff.
- Complete monthly one-on-one reports with Medical Assistants and Ultrasound Technicians/MA to discuss performance and review monthly audit results.
- Lead health center efforts to achieve established goals for volume and wait times.
- Accountable for improving financial and billing errors sent by the Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Ensure health center’s compliance with the Organization, State, and Federal Regulations by monitoring protocol compliance and service delivery.
- Responsible for management and non-direct patient care-related services in the health center. Oversee a full range of services, including but not limited to reproductive health care, primary care, managed care, abortion, and prenatal services.
- Participate as an active member of the clinical and patient services management team, which may include education programs, committees, conferences, and meetings as required.
- Work cooperatively with Senior Management, Health Center Management, and center staff to maintain maximum communication and support between center personnel, patients, and administration.
- Monitor staff training and deploy staff to schedule appointments for family planning, primary care, and abortion services.
- Assist the Health Center Co-Manager with scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage due to unscheduled absences. Responsible for the Medical Assistant and Licensed staff schedule.
- Ensure staff is trained in compliance, including environmental cleanliness, safety and security, CLIA, and OSHA compliance.
- Will ensure completeness and thoroughness of all health center staff job responsibilities, including but not limited to the completeness of logs, daily cleaning, inventory, and par levels, etc.
- Orient and monitor training for new staff during their 3-month orientation period.
- Monitor and follow- up on any audit findings and monthly Licensed staff checklist.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Site Supervisors and the Senior Director of Clinical Services regarding licensed staff one-on-ones and performance management.
- Coaches, develops, educates, and holds accountable all personnel in the health center.
- Available to travel to other health centers for coverage as needed.
