Overview:Primarily focused on collaborating with Sales and Account Management teams to provide underwriting, marketing, and/or benefit plan analysis and support. Performs financial analysis on behalf of clients, and provides consultation to clients around analytical findings. Proficiency with software programs, such as excel, and mathematical calculations. An advanced understanding of insurance, specifically employee benefits, concepts.
Responsibilities:Key responsibilities include:
- Compiling pertinent census data and/or financial information as required to prepare RFP, Analyzing utilization data for results summary, Submitting, reviewing and comparing RFP responses, Creating benefit and rate comparisons as well as total cost exhibits, and Preparing and presenting materials for strategic planning, renewal and marketing results.
- Preparation of client monthly financial statements and finance-related reporting, ability to analyze stop loss arrangements, ability to analyze claims patterns using client-specific claims files.
- Has direct customer contact.
- May also act as analytical or procedural expert and represent team on cross-functional process or project deliverables.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years related experience in-industry
- Health and life Licensed
- Actuarial Background/ Certifications
- Experience with- Excel, PPT, Microsoft Access
