Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Sr. Civil Engineer to join our growing Design Management Services team in Richmond, VA. This role works closely with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and specialists to deliver projects to a variety of clients including municipalities, counties, commercial, and industrial entities.
Responsibilities:- Be involved in Civil Engineering related project aspects including studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as site plans, hydraulics and hydrology, drainage design, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, roadway, and other miscellaneous civil design projects.
- Ability to execute engineering best practices for civil engineering projects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.
- Assist senior staff in the production of project plans, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, technical memorandums and cost estimates.
- Assist senior staff with construction management tasks such as material submittal reviews, responding to requests-for-information, conducting site visits, and coordination with Contractors.
- Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation and assessment for infrastructure projects.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and public agencies.
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia or ability to obtain Virginia license within 6 months. Applicants without a PE license will also be considered.
- 5-10 years of related experience.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D with grading, drainage, and stormwater management, in private, public, or Federal land development projects is desired.
- Knowledge of and experience working with VDEQ stormwater and erosion control regulations and requirements.
- Ability to handle working on multiple projects at the same time.
- Work well in a group/team setting.
- Experience with Client management.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
