Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer as this position will support the Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global ASNT) program, which is within the USAF C3I and Infrstructure Directorate and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.
The Global ASNT program acquires and sustains nuclear command, control, and communications terminals for the Air Force nuclear bomber mission.
WORK LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA
JOB STATUS: Full time; salaried
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the design, planning and management of facilities for data centers, operation centers, radars and communication systems.
- Provide review, analysis and recommendations for system deployment/fielding efforts specifically evaluating local and best-practice civil engineering and building code standards and processes.
- Coordinate and oversee site surveys to evaluate facility capabilities to support system requirements.
- Perform engineering drawing reviews for conformance with requirements, specifications, regulations, and quality control.
- Responsible for developing Facility Requirement Documents (FRDs) and associated Statements of Work (SOW).
- Support proposal evaluations and technical design reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of DoD work experience.
- Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired.
- Practical field experience applying building code/construction standards to system installation in a diverse environment.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, MS Office software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, and MS SharePoint required; MS Project desired).
- Candidate MUST have an active US Security clearance.
